FRIENDS OF IMMACULATE REUNION - 2010

The next IC Parish Reunion is set for Sunday, October 10, 2010 (easy to remember, 10-10-10).  The last one in October 2008 was a huge success with over 450 attending.  We're working hard to make this one even bigger and better than that one.  We've moved to a bigger venue (with ample parking) that can accommodate up to 600 (our maximum capacity for this reunion).  And, we have so much more planned for this reunion as well, specifically:

  -   Mass at 10:00am in the Upper Church

  -   After-Mass Social in the Social Hall with light refreshments;

  -   Banquet at Williamsons (Horsham) from 1:00pm-6:30pm

               (Cocktails - 1:00pm-2:30pm,  Dinner - 2:30pm,  Entertainment - 2:30pm-6:30pm) 

  -   DJ Dennis Abernathy for entertainment and dancing from 2:30pm - 6:30pm

  -  Awarding of the 2010 Special Friend of Immaculate award (the  highest honor  in IC  

                circles).  Who will this years' recipient be?

  -   Induction into the IC Hall of Fame (a new IC reunion tradition).  There will be several

                inducted.  Who will be so honored?

  -   Mini Reunion for the IC Classes of 1959 and 1960  

  -   Continuous slideshow and photo displays

  -   Posterboard displays of IC and Germantown

  -   The following IC items will be available for sale:

              -  "Immaculate Then and Now 2010" moving slideshow DVD of IC photos

              -   13-month, flip-style 2011 IC Calendar

              -   Christmas ornament with image of IC Church

  -   50/50 and Basket of Cheer raffles

  -   Chinese Auction - this was such a huge success at the last reunion and a lot of fun. 

                         We're bringing it back!

 -   Souvenir Program Booklet and keepsake Best Memory scroll

  
The price includes a donation to our former parish that meant so much to us but is now struggling to survive.  Actually, this is not limited to IC graduates and former parishioners but is open to all "Friends of Immaculate".  All are welcome.  Come out and reconnect with classmates, friends, former neighbors and even to make new friends.  Hope you can make it.

An event that will bring great people together; at a great venue; with a great program; with all proceeds to benefit our beloved Immaculate Conception.....   A great time is sure to be had by all!  What more can you ask for!  Hope you can make it!

 Friends of Immaculate GOLF OUTING

The Friends of Immaculate is considering having a golf outing / social (non-golfers would be most welcome) as another way to reconnect with classmates, friends, neighbors and any other Friends of Immaculate.  Please let us know your thoughts, whether you would be interested in attending and/or if interested in being a sponsor by emailing Steve Caine at scaine8987@aol.com

HOMECOMING 2010

The 2010 Homecoming on Sunday, June 6, 2010 was a big success and well-attended by former parishioners.  Fr. Holliday relayed that the generous support of the Spring Raffle by the former parishioners was extraordinary and surpassed the previous three years that he has been Pastor.  On behalf of Fr. Holliday and the IC parishioners. the Friends of Immaculate thank you so much for your continued generous support of our beloved Immaculate Conception Parish.  This Rafle is THE major fundraiser for the parish of today.  Such support really goes a long way in helping the parishioners of today continue in their spiritual, social  and educational mission, while helping to maintain those grand old buildings.  Thank you!

HOMECOMING 2011

The 2011 Homecoming will be on Sunday, June 7, 2011.  Mass at 10:00am in the beautiful Upper Church.  Light refreshments to follow.  Hope you can come back to revisit your roots in East Germantown and Immaculate Conception, rekindle old friendships and to make new friends.  Mark your calendars and let's try to fill that beautiful Church once again, like we did back in the day!!!
